How it works

How does the estimated range work?

The free Point Leak Report turns 20 answers, about 25 minutes at real SAT® pace, into an estimated points range for each of the 8 areas, each with how sure it is. It's a range, never one number, and it narrows as you practice.

What narrows it

Why is it a range, and when does it get narrower?

Starting Point: wide, marked "early"Each Checkpoint narrows itA full Bluebook™ test debrief narrows it more

What it's built from

Your 20 answers, sorted by the 8 SAT areas and by how hard each question was. Two or three questions an area can rank the areas against each other, not pin down one exact skill yet.

Why it's this wide

20 answers are a good start, not the whole picture, so the report says "early" and gives a range. A single number would claim more than 20 answers can show.

What narrows it

With full pass access, a 10-question Checkpoint every 2 weeks under the same conditions, and a debrief after each full Bluebook practice test. A change counts as clear only when two Checkpoints agree.

How close are the ranges?

We don't know yet, and we won't guess. We'll publish how close our ranges are once they've been checked against official scores from the March 2027 SAT.

Your Starting Point is for you: progress is always measured against your own start, never against other students.
